Steps In The Home Buying Process

Decide where you want to live

Select a local REALTOR as your Exclusive Representative ( No Cost for Service)

Get Pre-Qualified/Pre-Approved for financing

Participate in initial Counseling Session with chosen REALTOR. Share your Life Style Consideration, along with your Needs/Wants/Desires

Research Areas/Neighborhoods to determine which areas and/or neighborhoods best fit you

Select Properties within those areas/neighborhoods for viewing

Inspect/Evaluate/Compare each property

With the assistance of your REALTOR write up an "Offer to Purchase and Contract". Be sure to package yourself and your offer so you are the best buyer prospect to the seller

Empower your REALTOR to negotiate the offer and any counter offers

Upon acceptance of the offer submit the contract along with your loan approval

Order Inspections

Schedule Closing

Write up "Repair Request and Agreement" after inspection are completed. Submit to listing agent and negotiate repairs.

Conduct final walk thru to confirm all repairs have been completed. Request copies of receipts for any repairs that were performed.

Set up to have utilities transferred over/turned on by the day of closing

Review HUD/Settlement Statement with your REALTOR preferably the day before closing if applicable.

Attend Closing
